ABO Wind AG placed its first listed green bond on 2 May 2024. The issue met with great interest from institutional investors and asset managers as well as private investors and was significantly oversubscribed at the original target volume of EUR 50 million, so that the issue volume was increased by EUR 15 million to EUR 65 million. Cologne | Wiesbaden, 23 May 2024 - The ABO Wind AG (ISIN: DE0005760029) has successfully placed its first listed corporate bond (ISIN: DE000A3829F5) on the market and increased the issue volume by EUR 15 million to EUR 65 million due to high demand. The proceeds are enabling the issuer to continue its growth strategy. The new Green Bond 2024/2029 will be used for the realisation of the strong project pipeline and for the development and construction of wind and solar parks as well as battery storage facilities. The funds will thus be used in accordance with ABO Wind's framework for green bonds and make a contribution to the energy transition and climate protection. In its second party opinion, the expert imug rating certified that the use of funds complies with the guidelines of the Green Bond Principles issued by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA).
The new 2024/2029 bond was offered by means of a public offering via the issuer's website and the subscription functionality DirectPlace by Deutsche Börse as well as a private placement.
