IR.on sends the newsletter via theMailChimp platform, which is part of US company The Rocket Science Group, LLC (675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA).
The e-mail addresses of the newsletter recipients and other potential information made available to us on a voluntary basis are stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information for sendingand statistically evaluating the newsletters on our behalf. MailChimp has informed us that they may also use this data to optimise their own services.However, MailChimp does not use the personal datato contact the newsletter recipients or to pass their data on to third parties.
MailChimp is certified to the US-EU Privacy Shield and thus undertakes to comply with EU data protection legislation. In addition, IR.on and MailChimp have signed a Data Processing Agreement.
Within the newsletter, MailChimp uses a tracking pixel that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. In this context, technical information (e.g. IP address, browser type and version, time of the request) is collected for technical improvement of the service.
The statistical evaluation also includes whether and when the newsletters are opened and which links in the newsletters are clicked. While this information may be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons, it is by no means our intention to observe individual users. The evaluations merely help us to identify our recipients’ reading habits and to adjust the contents of our newsletters accordingly.
You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time and thus withdraw your consent to the processing of your data. An unsubscribe link is provided at the bottom of each newsletter. You may also send the withdrawal of your consent by e-mail to info(at)ir-on.com.
